I have been trying to build on the server for the past couple of hours and not only is it incredibly laggy, the server crashes every five minutes or so. What is going on?

I have noticed that the server has been having some troubles running at times, so I've went ahead and installed a lag detector on my system to see what could be causing this problem. After examining some of the lag spikes for the past month, I have found a correlation between when moderators join the server and the lag spikes dramatically increase in frequency and volume. I'm not quite sure what exactly is going on but I think it has something to do with the moderator system.

Well looks like my ISP was going through some changes... we're on a completely new IP scheme now which tells me they did some big change... so use nyminecraft.no-ip.org for now

A good idea would be to make the Message of the day (MOTD) to say to use that ip, more people would switch and you wouldnt be losing so many people to the regular ip being down.

There are still problems with this, right now I've been on and off the server because everyone's been crashing every 10 minutes or so. Just thought I'd say that while I wait for it to go back up. Got nothin else to do its summer lol

Just putting in my word, it may the be the new anti grief system, im thinking this because wrag rolled something back the other night and it crashed the server for me instantly, also im using the nyminecraft.no-ip.org ip so im using the right one, and I saw the role back, it was only a few blocks or so

Any rollback does seem to crash the server... even with the no-ip ip

While that may be true it has been crashing without any use of rollbacks or anything. Especially today and yesterday its been bad, with crashes literally every 5 minutes. At one point I could only be on for a minute or two before it crashed. Really not sure what the problem is

Still having the same problem today. I'm using nyminecraft.no-ip.org and it still crashes every five minutes or so. The server is worse then it's ever been, I've never seen it this unstable.

I think it could be the map. Considering the fact we have 2 infinitely large worlds, it is creating problems. We have had the same map for 1 year and a half, I'm sure there are some redstone clocks hidden away always ticking, and SO MANY CHUNKS!
